Volunteers needed for United Way’s
Days of Caring: 935 volunteers registered,
but still have work for 600 more

September 17, 2007

Volunteer registration is now open for United Way’s Days of Caring on Friday and Saturday, September 28 and 29. Team up with your
co-workers, your family, your neighbors and more than 1,000 other volunteers to complete hands-on projects such as painting, building, cleaning and reading to kids.

Volunteer teams and individuals can log on to register for a project.
There are more than 80 to choose from on both Friday and Saturday as United Way has expanded Days of Caring to accommodate more
projects and volunteer groups.

This is the 15th anniversary of the first Day of Caring in Snohomish
County. Last year, Day of Caring volunteers logged 6900 hours worth $121,000 in volunteer labor completing projects in Snohomish County. They also showed community and company spirit and built teamwork
while lending a much-needed hand to nonprofits.
